Fastest? Again?

Last night, I ran for the fastest timing, exactly 70 minutes for 10.3kms.  Pleased, I was.  And I didn't get tired even after 8kms.  I upped myself by running faster, hitting my HIIT heart rate for the extra weight loss efforts. So anyway, not much to update you guys, everything is as routine as it is, work, run, hangout for a while, eat, drink and sleep and repeat...  That is why I have not really updated my blog much.  It's quite routine for me, and it's not much boring that it is in the office, well at least the office is just a step away from where I live. Oh by the way, I found it embarrassed to listen when I was watching the Opening of the Olympic Games in Beijing.  One of the first announcement was about the countries joining.  The commentator was announcing that all of the Olympic countries are joining this year.  Except for Brunei Darussalam, which they fail to send their representative and submit their participation on time for the event.  That is so typical of Br...

Offshore Cafe

Sorry for the lack of updates, because I was tired the day before and Tuesday night I had a 'hang out' .  It's been a while since I hung out.   I got to know a guy from gym, he's part of the catering team here.  A really cool guy, from Sibu, his name is Edwin.  Very funny guy, and quite pleasing to be with.  All my time in here, the only person I am seriously close are my roommate, Meling , my MatCo , Idi and the Senior Inspector, Saleh .  Other than that, few trainees, but they come and go, joining their respective crew.   So on Tuesday night, after gym, Edwin and I were the last to use the gym and we were talking about my run and other exercise routines.  I usually sit on a trolley in the middle of the bridge, to change my shoes to sandals and enjoying the calm view of the sea in the background of a brightly lit flare. The calm winds cooling me down after my workout and feeling the serenity it brings to my soul.  But that night, he sat together with me and we kept ta...

Crew and I (Random picks)

Image
Some random and candid pics I took from the photo session with my crew the other day, today, there's a change of crew from Crew B to Crew A...  Another two week begins....  Nothing much to report for now, as I'm taking things easy...  Although there are few things in my mind right now, that I wanted to talk about, but, I'll post that later or some other day...   Last night I ran, 10.2 kms in 73 mins.  Today is rest day for me... so yay! One of my crew, Gibbson who has returned back onshore yesterday, after two months offshore Chan, gazing away, unaware that I took pictures of him This happened to be the last picture I took of the sun rise...   Until then, Take Care, Be Safe and Adios...

So, What's Up?

Nothing much to report on my day. Contemplated myself to take my camera out for a night of photography, but could not be bothered much.  I ran today, and it was a good run.  I know now why I am exhausted every time I ran.  There were no fan.  Or should I say, moving air or wind.  When we run, naturally there will be wind against our body to cool us down, and our body adapted that, but relying on an exhaust fan, it doesn't help much.  So before I set myself on the treadmill, I pointed the wall fan to my direction, and 6kms later, I was still running without exhaustion.  Since the wall fan was close to an weight machine, and Indonesian bodybuilder turned it off because of course, he was afraid that he might hit the fan. After his weight training, he didn't turn it back on, I was hinting as I fan myself with my hands, but he didn't get the hint...  As everybody left, one guy tapped my shoulder telling me that I'm going to be alone.  So I kindly ask him to turn the fan back...

Yesterday, at early morning, before my crew got hot an sweaty from work, I managed to call them to the upper deck for a quick photography session.. My roommate Meling Aton and his crew Gibbson were the first to arrive. Our Scaffolder, not posing, but waiting, I was looking for the right lighting, as it was still 6 a.m My trusty Matco, Idi, still with red eyes, at early morning The Dream Team Hope you like the pictures... There's more, I'll add more...  Until then, take care, be safe and Adios...

Offshore life

I just came back after going for late dinner, because I had some food reserved for me after my run.  I don't want to run with food in my stomach as it could get a little stuffy .  Worst case scenario, I would vomit on the treadmill.  So I usually asked the kitchen if they could keep my food warm. I'm very frustrated with my run.  I'm getting tired easily and getting slower.  Today was a measly 10.2 kms in 76 minutes.  I had to walk for the last kilometer.  Because I was really exhausted.  So anyway, after I had my dinner, I accompany a colleague to the smoking room as he asked for a favour tomorrow, to go on a site visit in the morning, and discussed about what we'll be going through tomorrow, and what we want to achieve by the end of tomorrow.  It's quite a huge scope so it will keep me busy at least until noon. My QA/QC Senior Inspector, Jet Taji came into the smoking room, and he had a smile, because he knew what I am going to say.  He had be suffering all these...

BBQ Night

Unfortunately I have no pictures to prove that we had a great BBQ night here offshore.  They do this once a while.  It's very rare, so we make full use of it.  I'm full and sitting on my bed, trying to digest the wonderful food that I just took, coincidentally today is rest day.  I ration my food intake today, to make way for the BBQ food.  At least, for a very long time, we had our 'weekend' so to speak.  There's no such thing as weekend here.  Because it's all work 7 days a week, the only thing people keep track around here are the dates of the month.  Because they're counting the days to return back home. As for me, I have quite a number of days to return back of home.  And it doesn't feel of any worth while to countdown my days.   I actually made a pause from writing to watch from the fireworks from afar of the fireworks that can be seen from here towards Empire Hotel and Country Club.  But it's hardly much, it's nice to see but I suppose the...
